Blake Tollison Shelton was born on 18 June 1976, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Richard Shelton, a used car salesman, and Dorothy, a beauty salon owner. Blake’s older brother Richie died in a car accident in October 1990. His father, Dick, 71, died in Oklahoma in 2012, after a period of declining health.
