In 2008, Ramsay had a near-death experience while in Iceland when he lost his footing and fell during a descent of an 85ft (26 m) cliff, landing in the icy water underneath. Fortunately he was thinking fast, and removed his heavy boots and waterproof clothes and managed to get to the surface of the water after being down for about 45 seconds. Ramsay is a big football fan of the Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers, and London-based club, Chelsea. He also follows Major League Baseball teams from Los Angeles, the Dodgers and the Angels. Even though there were rumors of Gordon bullying his son, that story is unconfirmed. We found that the only time he was strict with his children was when he didn’t allow them to fly first-class, because they still hadn’t achieved anything to earn that status. So, we can say that he is perhaps a rather strict father, but we can’t say he is a bully.
