Jim Sarbh was born on 27 August 1987 is an Indian drama actor/director and film actor basically in Mumbai. Jim’s first commercially released film was Neerja, which was directed by Ram Madhvani and starring Sonam Kapoor in the lead. Due to his contribution to Indian playhouse, he was selected for Forbes India 30 under 30 list in 2015.

The early life of Jim Sarbh
Jim’s family is from a Parsi origin. Jim was born in Mumbai on 27 August 1987 to extremely well-to-do parents. His mother was a physiotherapist, father a master mariner and later he became Regional Director of the P&O Ports South and Middle East Asia. Jim’s family lived in Australia for some years, and later they moved back to the country India. His inclination to acting and literature recognized by his family members at an early age. Jim Sarbh did most of his education in the American School of Bombay. He studied Psychology at Emory University in Atlanta. Jim’s speech delivery, height, confidence, and also his grace makes him one of the hottest actors of that time.
Professional Life of Jim Sarbh
Sarbh worked at the Alliance Theatre, Atlanta for a year as a fictitious intern, and also performed around Atlanta in The Show!, Tennis in Nablus, The Breakup, and the Ice Glen (2009) and for his great performances he won the award for a Major Supporting Role Metropolitan Atlanta Theatre. In 2012 after moving back to Mumbai, he performed in many plays, which includes Ok Tata Bye Bye, Death of a Salesman, Limbo, Gates to India Song, The Glass Menagerie, Cock, Noises Off, Eat! And Bull.
Sarbh performed in three feature films in 2012 Yashodhara by Jyoti Patil, Neerja by Ram Madhvani, 3 ½ Takes by Daria Ghai, and short films by Akshat Verma Mama’s Boys, and Like Summer like Rain by Gouri Dutt. Jim also performed on stage in Kalki Koechlin’s The Living Room, Vickram Kapadia’s The Merchant of Venice, and Rajat Kapoor’s What is Done. Ajeeb Ashiq by Natasha Mendonca was his important feature film debut, on 2 February 2016 premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
His latest release was “Raabta” which was directed by Dinesh Vijan and the co-starring Sushant Singh Rajput and also the beautiful Kriti Sanon. Jim was a part of “A Death in the Gunj” that directed by Konkona Sen Sharma. The film also starred Tanuja, Kalki Koechlin, Om Puri, Gulshan Devaiah, and many others.
He also works in shooting for the magnum opus “Padmavati” which directed by the famous Bollywood film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Film slotted for release towards the end of the year 2017. The film stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor.
Jim Sarbh is also shooting for untitled Sanjay Dutt’s biopic with Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. This film directed by also the film director Raj Kumar Hirani, who has been in the news for all good reasons and also is among the most anticipated publications of the year.
