Li spent the first six years of her life in Shanghai, raised an only child by her mother Mei Li who was a singer, and her father who was a painter. She likes to travel, and has been to several US states to shoot for her movies and TV series, while she has also visited Europe on several occasions, vacationing in Italy and Croatia among other countries.
