Who is Marissa Mazzola-McMahon?

Marissa Mazzola-McMahon is a celebrity wife and a film producer, who is perhaps best known to the world as the wife of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) minority owner, producer, and executive vice-chairman of Ideanomics, Shane McMahon. The two have been married since 1996 and have three children. Marissa has also worked in public relations for Dan Klores and WWE.

Marissa Mazzola was born on the 4th July 1973 in New York USA, however, she grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut, where she went to the private all-girls school, Greenwich Academy. Following her matriculation, Marissa enrolled at Boston University, from which she eventually graduated, but she didn’t specify which subjects she studied.

Career Beginnings and Rise to Prominence

Marissa Mazzola’s career started in the late ‘90s when she joined the World Wrestling Federation at the time, as the new host of the show “LiveWire”. She steadily increased her experience and roles, such as hosting of the show “WWF Divas – Postcard from the Caribbean” and appearing in “WWE Smackdown!”, and “WWE Raw”, before leaving WWE to chase other interests.

Marissa started working closely with Dan Klores, however, in 2005 she started her own film production company, Kamala Films. Since then she has worked on several films, including her debut “Quitters”, a short film in 2005, then “Anamorph”, the crime horror-thriller film staring Willem Dafoe, Scott Speedman, and Don Harvey, then the drama film “What Maisie Knew”, with Julianne Moore, Alexander Skarsgard, and Steve Coogan in the lead roles. Most recently, she has worked on the biopic war-drama film “A Private War”, which stars Rosamund Pike, Alexandra Moen, and Tom Hollander.

She is now working on two projects, the crime-drama film “Love Is a Gun”, and the romantic drama film “An Affair”, which are currently in pre-production and are yet to receive their premiere dates.

Born Shane Brandon McMahon on the 15th January 1970 in Gaithersburg, Maryland USA, he is the son of Vince McMahon and his wife, Linda McMahon. He has a sister Stephanie McMahon, a businesswoman and professional wrestler. Shane joined WWE at the age of 15, as a warehouse worker filing merchandise orders. As he got older, his role in the WWE changed, and in 1988 he became a referee under the name Shane Stevens. Since then Shane has assumed many roles in WWE, including as a professional wrestler.

He won the WWF European Championship, then the WWF Hardcore Championship, WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship with The Miz, while in 2018 he won the WWE World Cup, among numerous other accomplishments. He is also now a minority owner of WWE, and one of the producers. He has done much to promote the WWE in other countries, including Mexico, striking the deal with most successful Mexican media outlets, Televisa and TV Azteca.

He was out of WWE from 2009 until 2016, when he made his return. However, he was fired from the company in 2019, following his loss to Kevin Owens in the ladder match.

Shane is a private person, but hasn’t been involved in any controversies. In July 2017, he was in the helicopter that crashed, but luckily he didn’t suffer any major injuries.
