Matthew Boling is an American athlete who specializes in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and long jump events. He won four gold medals at the 2019 Pan American U20 Championships in the 100-meter, 200-meter, 4-100-meter relay, and 4-400-meter relay, helping to set world under-20 records in both U.S. relay races. He also ran for the American 4 / 400 m relay team in the semi-final at the 2018 U20 World Championships that went on in the final to earn silver.
In the Spring of 2019, Boling received national recognition for his success in high school track competitions. In March he jumped the farthest in the long jump for a high school athlete in ten years with an 8.01 meters mark at the Texas Relays and then bested the high school all-conditions record of 100 m, breaking the 10-second barrier with a 9.98-second wind-assisted run on 27 April 2019.
