He made his Formula One debut at the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix and won his first Formula One race at the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix. Schumacher won his first World Drivers’ Championship with Bennetton in 1994. 

He retired from racing in 2006 but returned to the track in 2010. During his retirement, he worked as Ferrari’s adviser and later Mercedes’ constructor. He returned to racing for the 2010 season in the Mercedes GP team. He ultimately retired from racing in 2012.
