Death and cause
Aaren died on 26 August 1979, less than a month before her second birthday. She fell into the pool at her home, and was unconscious by the time she was found.
Paramedics were called and tried to revive her before taking her to the University of California Medical Center – she was put on life support, but fell into a coma and died several days later.
She is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, Los Angeles.
Parents and siblings
Aaren spent the only two years of her life in California, where she was raised alongside her siblings Arnelle L. Simpson and Jason Lamar Simpson by their father and their mother Marguerite L. Whitley who was a housewife.

The Daisy, at which she worked as a waitress – he was still married to his first wife at the time, but divorced her in March 1979. On 2 February 1985, O. J. and Nicole married in a private ceremony attended by their closest friends and family, and Nicole went on to give birth to their two children, Sydney Brooke Simpson and Justin Ryan Simpson in 1985 and 1988, respectively. Nicole filed for divorce in 1992, but the two then supposedly reconciled in 1993. However, on 12 June 1994, Nicole and Ron Goldman were found stabbed to death in front of Nicole’s apartment.

Orenthal James ‘O. J.’ Simpson was born in San Francisco, California USA, on 9 July 1947 – his zodiac sign is Cancer and he holds American nationality.
He is a former American Football player, an actor and a broadcaster, who is known best for having played 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), most of which were for the Buffalo Bills (nine seasons).
O. J. was raised in San Francisco alongside his brother Melvin Leon ‘Truman’ Simpson and sisters Shirley Simpson-Baker and Carmelita Simpson-Durio (deceased), by their father Jimmy Lee Simpson who was a chef, and their mother Eunice who was a hospital administrator – Jimmy Lee was also a drag queen, who announced he was gay not long after his divorce from Eunice in 1952; he died from AIDS in 1986.
O. J. was a member of the gang the Persian Warriors during his teenage years, and spent some time in the San Francisco Youth Guidance Center – he found comfort in football which he started playing while attending Galileo High School. He was one of the most promising high school footballers, but his grades were poor, and made O. J. believe that no college would want him, which led him to consider joining the military. After his friend was injured in the Vietnam War, O. J. decided not to join the military but to start attending City College of San Francisco, and there played for the college’s football team as their running and defensive back.
Because of his great skills, he was invited to move to the University of Southern California (USC) as well as to the University of Utah, choosing USC at which he was coached by John McKay, a famous football head coach – O. J. graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1969.
He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 1969, who decided to go with his wish to sign a five-year $650,000 contract, the largest in the history of professional football at that time. O. J. played mediocre football during his first three seasons with the Buffalo Bills, but went on to become one of the most wanted NFL players in 1972, after the new head coach Lou Saban switched him to play the centerpiece of the offense. In the same year, O. J. won the NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award.
He signed a contract with the San Francisco 49ers in 1978, staying with them for close to two years before retiring from football on 16 December 1979.
He is also an actor, having launched his career while attending college with his role in the TV series “Dragnet 1967”. He appeared in the mini-series “Roots”, the drama movie “The Klansman” and the disaster thriller film “The Cassandra Crossing”, while the year 1979 saw him found his own movie Orenthal Productions company. His first notable performances were in the 1987 comedy movie “Back to the Beach”, and the crime comedy trilogy “The Naked Gun”, which starred Leslie Nielsen and Priscilla Presley and was a hit. O. J. is also known for having starred in his own improvisational comedy show “Juiced” in 2006.
After Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman were found stabbed on 12 June 1994, O. J. was the main person of interest. He was involved in a low-speed chase five days later on 17 June while riding in the passenger seat, and which TV stations covered live – a reported number of 95 million people watching the chase. On 3 October 1995, O. J. was found not guilty of two murders, but not long after that, the family of Ron Goldman filed a civil lawsuit against him – he was found responsible for the death of Ron and had to pay $33.5 million in damages, which he still appears to be paying off today.
He has been arrested on charges such as battery and burglary in February 2001, and water speeding through a manatee protection zone on 4 July 2002. He was found guilty on 12 charges including robbery, using a deadly weapon and kidnapping on 3 October 2008, and after a new trial on 5 December 2008 was sentenced to spend 33 years behind bars – he was granted parole and released from jail on 1 October 2017.
The book “If I Did It” about O. J. and the two murders was ghostwritten by Pablo Fenjves, while all the proceeds of its sales went to the family of Ron Goldman.
