Early life and education

Nicola was raised an only child in England by her father Robert Walter Frost who was a factory worker, and her mother Christina Winifred Berry who worked at a local supermarket. She grew up being encouraged by her parents to focus on her studying, and to pursue a college degree, which is why she enrolled at Leeds University in 1985 from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989.

While still attending high school, Nicola became interested in acting and tested her skills in the school’s drama club, however, after learning that she wasn’t very talented, she switched to her other passion – photography – and has been working as a photographer to this day.

Nicola has been staying away from the spotlight, but it is known that she has been working for around three decades as a photographer, and in particular has covered weddings, various children’s events as well as numerous parties. She has worked for many famous people as well as for her son.

Nicola met her other half Dominic Holland while they were studying together at Leeds University – they were together for over three years before marrying in a private ceremony attended by only their closest friends and family. Dominic is an award-winning comedian, born in England on 6 May 1967 who is today best known for his own show “The Small World of Dominic Holland”. He is also the author of three novels, and won a Perrier Best Newcomer Award back in 1993.

Nicola gave birth to her and Dominic’s first son, Tom on 1 June 1996, and on 14 February 1999, their twin sons Sam and Harry were born, and their fourth and last son Paddy was born on 6 December 2004 – all four boys have become actors.

Two of the most recent awards he has received are a Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer Movie Actor in 2019 and a Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite Superhero in 2020.

Tom is a lover of animals and has a pet dog called Tessa.

He is a huge fan of soccer and cheers for Arsenal F.C. from London.

He is also a philanthropist, and is supporting The Brothers Trust which has over the years gathered a lot of money for many charitable causes.
