Who is Rebecca Soteros?

Rebecca Soteros is an American school teacher, but is best known to the world as a former fling of the deceased actor Paul Walker. Although they dated for a short time only, the couple welcomed a daughter, Meadow Rain Walker. Rebecca was devastated by the actor’s premature demise, and is now helping Meadow run charities, left by her late father.

Rebecca Soteros was born in 1974 in Hawaii USA; she is the daughter of Marl Soteros and his wife Julie Ann.

She hasn’t talked much about her childhood, involving siblings and education. She has attended a college, but hasn’t disclosed which one, and would later pursue a master’s degree. However, she started working as a school teacher, foregoing her studies.

Relationship with Paul Walker, Daughter

Paul and Rebecca met in 1998 and soon started a romantic relationship; a chance encounter turned into a passionate affair, which gave birth to their daughter, Meadow Rain Walker – her godfather is Bruce Willis. The couple dated only briefly, as Rebecca wanted marriage but Paul wasn’t ready.

As a result, the two broke up in 1999, and Rebecca went home to Hawaii, where she raised her daughter as a single mother, living there for the next 13 years before Meadow returned to California to live with her father. Rebecca was having problems with alcohol addiction at the time, and Paul sought custody over their daughter. After a rehabilitation program, Rebecca came to her senses and moved to California to be closer to her daughter. Paul died in a tragic car accident in 2013, and since then, Rebecca and Meadow run Paul’s humanitarian organization.

Paul William Walker IV was born on the 12th September 1973, in Glendale, California USA; he was the son of Paul William Walker III and his wife, Cheryl (nee Crabtree), who was a fashion model. His father was a retired boxer, a two-time Golden Gloves champion.

Of English, German, Swiss, and Irish ancestry, Paul was the oldest of five children, all raised in a Mormon household. He matriculated from Village Christian School in 1991, and then moved from one community college to another in Southern California, eventually majoring in marine biology.

Career Beginnings

Paul was involved in show business from an early age, appearing in advertisements and commercials, before making his acting debut in the TV series “Highway to Heaven” in 1985.

Rise to Stardom

With the start of the new millennium, Paul’s career was taking a turn for the better, and with the role of Brian O’ Conner in the film “The Fast and the Furious” in 2001, he cemented his name as an actor.

He appeared in seven installments of the popular franchise, with the last one being “Fast and Furious 7”; he died before the film was finished, but with the help of his brothers and CGI, all work was successfully completed.

Other than the highly popular franchise, Paul starred in several other films, including the action-drama film “Running Scared” (2006), then the Academy Award-nominated “The Flags of Our Fathers” (2006), and the thriller drama film “Hours” (2013).

Personal Life

Paul didn’t have steady relationships, but was more interested in one time flings.

He lived in Santa Barbara and was heavily involved in the community, and charity on the whole. He founded his own humanitarian organization, Reach Out Worldwide. A car enthusiast, Paul owned around 30 cars, some of which were a Ferrari Testarossa, Ferrari 400i, Ford Mustang Cobra R, numerous Porche vehicles, and a Volvo P1800. Following his death, the majority of these cars were sold at an annual car auction.

Paul, an accomplished actor and a car enthusiast had other interests, including marine biology, and spent 11 days with the crew of the show “Expedition Great White”, aired on National Geographic Channel.

Wealth and Death

He became a star, and his wealth increased to a large degree in the years leading to his death. According to sources, Paul Walker’s net worth at the time of his passing was estimated at $25 million.

Paul died in a car crash while returning from an event organized by his Reach Out Worldwide organization. A Porsche Carrera GT driven by his business partner Roger Rodas crashed into a concrete lamp post and two trees. The car burst into flames and they both died at the scene. A documentary was made about his life “I Am Paul Walker”, released in 2018.
