Rod Stewart was born on January 10, 1945, in Highgate, North London, England. His birth name is Roderick David Stewart. His nationality is British. Stewart belongs to mixed ethnicity while Capricon is his zodiac sign. 

Rod Stewart was born as the youngest of five children of his parents; Robert Joseph Stewart(father) and Elsie Rebecca Gilbart(mother) at his home during World War II. His father, Robert was a Scottish master builder while his mother Elsie was an English housewife. Being the youngest of 5 children, Rod was loved and cared for throughout more spoiled as he even couldn’t pass his eleven-plus exam at Highgate Primary School. He then was enrolled at William Grimshaw Secondary Modern School, Hornsey.

  • Rod Stewart started his career initially working with different bands; Hoochie Coochie Men, Steampacket, Shotgun Express, and Jimmy Powell & the Five Dimensions starting from 1961. 
  • After almost 6 years of hard work to prove himself, he finally got his initial break when he joined as a vocalist in “Jeff Back Group” in 1967. The group gained much popularity with their first album titled “Truth”(1968).
