Ryan Newman is an American professional stock car racing driver who is famous for competing full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 6 Ford Mustang for Roush Fenway Racing, as well as part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, driving the No. 39 Ford F-150 for DCC Racing. In 1993, Newman made his racing debut in the United Midget Auto Racing Association and the All-American Midget Series, winning both Rookie of the Year and the championship.   • On February 17, 2020, when leading on the final corner of the final lap of the 2020 Daytona 500, Newman’s car was tapped in the rear by Ryan Blaney which made Newman’s car veer across the track and bounce off the outside wall, rolling over onto its roof and turning the driver’s side toward Corey LaJoie’s onrushing car. The violent collision caused Newman’s car to roll over again. This took nearly 15 minutes to extract Newman from the wreck and put him in an ambulance before he was taken to Halifax Medical Center. He sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. On February 23, a statement was released detailing Newman’s status, revealing that he suffered no broken bones but was recovering from an unspecified head injury.

Ryan Newman was a married man. He tied a knot to his beautiful wife, Krissie Newman.  From their marriage, the duo was blessed with two children; Brooklyn Sage Newman (born 18th November 2010) and Ashlyn Olivia Newman (born 17th July 2012). Their kids are often seen in photos with Ryan and Krissie at NASCAR race tracks cheering on their dad. He was on an episode of “American Pickers”, buying bumper cars for his children.
