Early life and education
Lillo was abandoned by his parents shortly after he was born, and when he was four months old, Lillo Sr. and Domenica adopted him and he was raised in Yonkers, New York City. Lillo Sr. is American and was a construction worker, while Domenica is from Italy and was an electrolysis; the two also adopted another boy, Vinny, who was a fashion model before becoming a civil servant.
Lillo attended Mount Saint Michael Academy (Roman Catholic high school) and although he was born in Colombia, he considers himself Italian as he was ‘raised to eat pasta’. He was 16 years old when he was noticed by a talent scout who saw him swimming at Jones Beach in New York, and remarked how Lillo resembled Robert De Niro.
Roles in movies
As Lillo was a huge fan of Robert De Niro, he showed his talent scout his impression of De Niro’s character in the psychological thriller drama movie “Taxi Driver”, and Lillo was then cast to portray Robert’s son Calogero C Anello in the crime drama movie “A Bronx Tale” which starred De Niro and Chazz Palminteri, and is about a father whose son becomes friends with a local gangster. The movie won one award and was nominated for three others.

On 10 December 2005, Lillo and Steven Armento – the father of his girlfriend – were arrested on charges of murdering Daniel Enchautegui, a police officer who was killed at home in The Bronx. Steven was charged with first-degree murder on 30 October 2008 and was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in jail, while Lillo was only charged with first-degree attempted burglary and in 2009 was sentenced to spend 10 years in jail. He continued to use heroin at Hudson Correctional Facility and overdosed several times, but was released on parole on 31 December 2013.
Love life and relationships
In the first half of the 2000s, Lillo was dating Stefanie Armento whom he met at a party, and who was a drug addict as well. They could had often be seen walking together, but shortly after Lillo and Stefanie’s father were arrested, the two broke up and Lillo started dating Christina Chen.
She supported him while he was in jail and waited for him to be released. In 2015, the two moved in together in Yonkers. There are rumors circulating the internet that the two split sometime in 2019, but another rumor has it that they became engaged, and married in January 2020. Lillo was seen with numerous women before he started dating Christina, and it is believed that most of the girls he dated were also addicted to cocaine and heroin, and that he was supplying them with drugs.
Hobbies and other interests
Lillo was interested in playing sports during his teenage years, and was good at both football and soccer. He later started going to the gym several times per week, however, as he was getting more addicted to drugs, he stopped taking part in sports ,and steadily lost his muscular build.
He likes to party at clubs as well as attend film events, and has been to many US states, mostly to shoot for his movies and TV series, rarely for pleasure. He has been to Europe on a single occasion when he visited several Italian cities as it’s his favorite European country.
He likes to watch movies in his spare time, and some of his favorite actors and actresses are Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Helena Bonham Carter, while some of his favorite movies are the trilogy “The Godfather”, “Taxi Driver”, and “Pulp Fiction”.
