Early life and education

Adam was raised in Laytown, a village close to his birth city, by his father who was a recruitment specialist and his mother who was a nurse. He doesn’t have siblings, and spent most of his free time with his mother who is a huge fan of the film industry – the two would often watch movies and TV series together, thus Adam’s interest in acting.

He joined his elementary school’s drama club, appearing in several school plays, and started thinking about a career as a professional actor after enrolling at high school. He was mostly focused on acting and appearing in theatre plays, but was also physically active playing soccer and basketball with his friends.

Upon matriculation, Adam enrolled at Clongowes College, transferring to University College, Dublin after a year, and while there was a member of the Imperial College Dramatic Society – Dramsoc. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2002, and then in 2003 enrolled at Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin.

Movie appearances

After graduating, Adam worked several jobs for a couple of years while attending auditions and making his way up in the film industry. He made his debut film appearance in “Inside I’m Dancing” shot in 2004, while his next role only came three years later, in “Grandpa Speak to Me in Russian”, and was praised for his performance. He subsequently starred in “Satellites & Meteorites” in 2008, for which he and Amy Huberman won a Fort Lauderdale Film Award for best on screen couple, and he went on to appear in “Happy Ever Afters” and “The Garden” in 2009.

He made his debut TV series appearance in 2004, portraying a reporter in two episodes of “Proof”, while his next role came three years later in “Trouble in Paradise”. In 2008, he played Robert in “The Clinic”, and then gained recognition after portraying Adam Fitzpatrick in 24 episodes of “Being Erica”, which follows Erica and her both enemy and hero Dr. Tom who is a therapist. In 2011, he was invited to appear in “XIII: The Series” and in “Love/Hate” in 2013, and in 2015 Adam could have been seen playing Frank Mallon in “Clean Break”, and Prince Richard in “Scandal”.

In 2016, he began playing Mick Davies in “Supernatural”, appearing in six episodes of this drama fantasy horror TV series, which follows two brothers who are fighting supernatural monsters and demons. Two of his most recent roles have been in “Lykkeland” and “Striking Out” in 2018.
