Early life and education

Alex was raised in Liberty as an only child, by his parents who were both theatre actors, and who often took him to watch them perform at a local theatre. Alex joined his elementary school’s drama club shortly upon enrollment, and at the age of eight also made his debut stage appearance at a local theatre. From then on he practiced acting on a daily basis, while he was also practicing dance. Attending a local high school, Alex became physically active by also playing a variety of sports, as he wanted to stay in shape mostly because of his budding acting career. After matriculating in 2005, he enrolled at William Jewell College from which he graduated magna cum laude majoring in both Applied Critical Thought and Inquiry, and Psychology while his minor was in Chemistry.

Just a month after graduation, Alex moved to Los Angeles in California.

Alex worked several jobs to financially support himself, before he made his debut film appearance in 2012, portraying Ace #2 in the comedy “The Olivia Experiment”, which starred Skye Noel, Jen Lilley and Brett Maumayr, and which is about a 27 year-old girl who decides to have sex with her boyfriend for the first time – the film failed to attract much attention.
