October was born as October Calinda Vegas-Russell on the 10th October 1980, in Los Angeles, California USA; she is the daughter of Pat Vegas, while her mother’s name is not known to the media.

She has three sisters and a brother; one sister’s name is Sarah, and her brother is PJ Vegas. Her father Pat is a legendary musician, and a member of the band Redbone, known for hit singles “Come and Get Your Love”, “Wovoka”, “Suzie Girl”, “We Were All Wounded At Wounded Knee”, “The Witch Queen of New Orleans”, and others.
