Childhood and education

Lyle was raised an only child in Los Angeles by his father who was a theatre actor and his mother who was teaching English at a local high school. Motivated by his father, Lyle became interested in acting while attending high school, but was also interested in sports as he played both football and soccer.

He was a member of the school’s drama club, and would also often watch his father perform at a local theatre.

Two years after he matriculated from high school in 1974, he enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980.

Career as an actor and TV personality

Lyle doesn’t have many film and TV credits to his name, and has rather been focused on making trouble with his IATSE union on film sets, allegedly costing producers and directors lots of money.

He made his debut appearance in the TV special “The 21st Annual People’s Choice Award” in 1995, and a year later he was cast to portray a supporting character in the action crime horror movie “From Dusk Till Dawn” which starred Hervey Keitel, George Clooney, and Juliette Lewis while it was directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Robert Kurtzman and Quentin Tarantino. The film follows two convicts who are holding people hostagesat a truck stop full of vampires, and it won seven awards and was nominated for 13 others.

In 1997, Lyle played the I.A.T.S.E. Union Organizer (or himself) in the documentary film “Full Tilt Boogie” which is about the making of the film “From Dusk Till Dawn”. His final role was as the Husky Guy in the comedy “Beach Movie”, directed and written by John Quinn, and starroing Alex DeBoe and Gabrielle Anwar, about a man who risks losing the two things he loves the most in life – his girlfriend Sunny and surfing.

Lyle has received many special thanks for movies with his first having been in the romantic comedy film “Girl Fever” in 2002, followed by the horror thriller film “All Sould Day: Dia de los Muertos” and the action comedy horror “House of the Dead 2” in 2005. Some of her latest roles in TV series have been in single episodes of the animated series “Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?” in 2019, the reality competition series “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in 2020, and the drama web miniseries “The Stand” in 2020 as well.
