Katie Couric is a well-known and highly respected American writer and journalist. She was a television set on America’s big three television networks — ABC, CBS and NBC. Katie worked for CBS News from 2006 to 2011, for NBC News from 1989 to 2006 and ABC News from 2011 until 2014. She has been an Assignment Editor for CNN although she wasn’t just a Yahoo!Global News Anchor too. She got her enthusiasm for the information from her dad John Couric, a news editor and public relations executive. As a news editor, her dad worked for the United Press in Washington D.C. and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Katie has been raised as a Presbyterian although her mother was Jewish. She’s also managed to trace her lineage, on her dad ‘s side, into some French Orphan who jumped to theUnited States from the 19th century.

The press icon was educated from the Arlington Public Schools program — she attended the Jamestown Elementary School before continuing on to Williamsburg Middle School. Additional Yorktown High School graduates comprise Tom Dolan, Greg Garcia andChris Nassetta. While in the high school, she interned in the WAVA-FM, an all-news radio channel in Washington D.C.. She subsequently studied at the University of Virginia, her dad ‘s alma mater. While there, she combined theDelta Delta Deltasorority.
