Asian Andy was raised in Los Angeles alongside his sister, by their father who is the owner of a small computer store, and their mother who is working at the store.
He grew up being interested in acting, and planned on pursuing an acting career before he discovered the internet and the things people do on it. Asian Andy attended a local high school at which he was bullied due to his appearance, and not being involved in any sports, so he found comfort in hip hop music and video games, the latter making it possible for him to find friends on the internet.
After matriculating in 2012, Asian Andy started working to financially support himself, and didn’t enroll at a college.
