Childhood and education
CashNasty was raised as an only child in Vidalia by his mother who was a cashier at a local supermarket and his father who was a taxi driver – CashNasty has always been close to his mother, and has uploaded several pictures featuring the two of them together onto his Instagram account.
He was one of the most talented children in his elementary school, which led him to compete at a State Art Competition and which he won.
CashNasty eventually became interested in playing video games, and spent most of his spare time competing against other people on the internet as well as against his peers – he also became interested in comedy and enjoyed making his family and friends laugh.
Upon matriculation in 2008, CashNasty started working to financially support himself, and eventually found himself as an assistant manager at a Wal-Mart store – he quit this job when he started making enough money on the internet.
He launched his YouTube channel on 22 June 2013, initially called “WhatChaMaCalling” – the channel today counts close to 3.9 million people subscribed to it, and boasts over 800 million views of all CashNasty’s videos combined. They went on to collaborate and appear in each other’s videos, and there were rumors that the two became engaged in 2014 and that they also married in a private ceremony in 2015, however, this hasn’t been confirmed to this day.
In August 2017, CashNasty announced on his Twitter account that he and Ash had broken-up, which came as a shock to many of his fans – later that same day, he stated that the tweet was only a joke, however, most people believe that the two have indeed broken-up as they stopped uploading videos onto their collaborative channel in 2017, including pictures which feature both of them together.
