Ellianna Kate ‘Ellie Schnitt’ Schnittman was born in the USA, on 28 June 1996 – her zodiac sign is Cancer and she holds American nationality. She is a social media star, blogger and a podcast host, perhaps best known for working for the sports and pop culture blog Barstool Sports.
Early life and education
Ellie was raised in Chicago, Illinois as an only child by her mother Laurie who is working at the Jewish Community Center, while her father Ron Schnittman is running his own small business.

Ellie grew up watching movies and TV series while dreaming about becoming an actress one day, and while attending Glenbrook North High School, she started reading girly magazines, and thought about becoming a model. She was physically active at school as she played various sports such as soccer and volleyball, while also practicing her acting skills in the school’s drama club, and learnt to play the guitar. Upon matriculation in 2014, she enrolled at Illinois State University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2018.
Ellie gained recognition on the internet after she began posting updates on her Twitter account several times each day – she launched her account in February 2012 and it is today followed by over 570,000 people, while she is following around 600 people. She is also active on her Instagram account, on which she has over 200,000 fans, and onto which she’s uploaded around 360 pictures, most taken during her everyday life.
Ellie launched her YouTube channel “Schnitt talk” on 2 April 2019, and is running it together with her producer Alanna, mostly focusing on uploading videos in which they discuss a variety of topics mostly related to people who are in their 20s. There are currently over 14,400 people subscribed to the channel which also counts over one million views of all their videos combined. Ellie is today best known for the aforementioned podcast, and she has guests for every episode, usually covering things related to dating, such as how to figure out if a guy or a girl are only playing with you, if someone is cheating, or if they are serious about being with you for the rest of their life.
In July 2018, Ellie was invited to work for the blog Barstool Sports which was created by David Portnoy in 2003, and which today has its headquarters in New York City. The blog’s two main investors are the operator of casinos and racetracks Penn National Gaming, Nc. and the company The Chermin Group. Barstool Sports is known to be doing charity work, and around $240,000 was raised on its website after the Boston Marathon Bombings, and in April 2017 around $50,000 for the Justin J. Watt Foundation. In June 2018, $150,000 was donated to the family of a police officer who died on duty, and in October 2019, $20,000 was donated to the PanHellenic Dance Marathon organized in Penn State.

Ellie has been keeping the details of her love life to herself, but it’s believed that she has been seeing a mysterious man since November 2019, after they were introduced by a mutual friend at a party. On 20 March 2020, Ellie tweeted about how great it is to have a boyfriend during quarantine, because both of them are bored and he can give her attention whenever she needs it, while she also doesn’t have to shave her legs! The tweet is one of the most popular on her Twitter account, and although many of her fans have asked her on both Twitter and Instagram about her boyfriend, she has succeeded at keeping the details of her boyfriend and their relationship a secret.
According to some rumors circulating the internet, Ellie was in a long-term relationship with her college sweetheart, and the two split ways after graduation in 2018 as they didn’t want to work on a long-distance relationship.
Hobbies and other interests
Ellie is keen on spending her free time near the water, whether it’s the ocean, a lake or a river. Summer is her favorite season, as she likes to catch waves and suntan at the beach, while she is also keen on playing beach soccer and volleyball. She is a lover of animals, but doesn’t have a pet because as she has stated, she doesn’t have time to take proper care of it.
