Who are the Olsen twins?

Ashley Fuller Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen, were born on 13 June 1986. According to news, Ashley is said to be older by a mere two minutes, and the twins were fraternal and so not actually identical. They are both American fashion designers, former actresses and producers.

They started their acting careers when they were only six months old by sharing the role of Michelle Tanner in the hit-show “Full House” (1987-1995). Since then, they made it big in the film industry, appearing in films such as “Getting There” (2002), “The Challenge” (2003), and their last film together in 2004, “New York Minute”.

In 1993 at the age of six, they became the youngest producers in Hollywood history when Dualstar Entertainment was founded, which produced films, and released videos featuring the twins, some being “Passport to Paris” (1999), “Our Lips are Sealed” (2000), and “Holiday in the Sun” (2001). Both of them retired as an actress in 2012 to focus on their interest in the fashion industry.

The twins co-founded the luxury fashion brand “The Row”, established in 2006, with an idea for the perfect T-shirt. It seemed that whatever the twins do turns to gold, because of their passion.

In 2009, Joe Karban (Vice President of sourcing and production, at that time) commented in “The New York Times”, ‘The kids on the team are really passionate about making clothes. How do you set a proper sleeve? How does a fabric perform? It’s the art of making clothes as opposed to making everything cookie-cutter. Plus everything Mary-Kate and Ashley do turns to gold.” Through this, the twins also offered a line called Elizabeth and James, a fashion collection inspired by their siblings.
