Early Life
Kim was born on 7 June 1969 in Portland, Oregon, USA, where she spent her childhood with her father Frank Rhodes, her mother Jane Rhodes and sister Jennifer Rhodes.
Education
Rhodes earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts graduating summa cum laude from Southern Orgeon State College, going on to attend Temple University and get her Masters in Fine Art. After receiving both of her degrees, she was certified in four different types of stage combat, dagger, rapier, hand-to-hand and quarterstaff.
Career
Before pursuing acting Kim worked as the assistant to a veterinarian for three years, before she performed in some of William Shakespeare’s plays.
Rhodes broke into film acting in 1996 when she joined the cast of “Another World”, playing Cynthia “Cindy” Brooke Harrison in the soap opera created by Irna Phillips and William J. Bell, produced by the National Broad Casting Company (NBC) The show focused on domestic life in a less conventional and dramatic way than usually seen in soap operas, instead focusing on exotic melodrama unfolding between classes of people and their families.
Between 1999-2001 Kim appeared in two television shows – “The Lot” and “As the World Turns”.
Over the next four years, Rhodes had small roles in “Christmas with the Cranks” and “In Pursuit”, as well as playing Elastagirl in the superhero movie “Sky High”, but unfortunately her scenes were cut.
2005 was the start of Rhodes playing Carey Martin in the Disney Channel original show “The Suit Life of Zack and Cody”, in which she portrayed the mother of twins Zack and Cody, portrayed by Cole and Dylan Sprouse, well-known child actors who also played in “Big Daddy” alongside Adam Sandler, and David Schimmers on screen sons in the hit television show “Friends”.
“The Suit Life of Zach and Cody” follows the lives of Zach and Cody Martin, living with their mom Carey in the Tipton hotel where Carey was employed as a lounge singer. The launch was the most watched, most successful premier ever on the Disney Channel, creating huge publicity for all the shows cast.
The show was so popular that it created a spin-off show “The Suit Life on Deck”, in which the twins were sent off to boarding school on a cruise liner, because they no longer lived with their mother – Rhodes character appeared only as a guest star in four episodes.

In 2010 Rhodes landed the part of Sherriff Jody Mills in the CW television networks show “Supernatural”; she joined the cast in season five in the episode ‘Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid” and character has appeared in every season since, making her one of the longest recurring characters in the show’s history.“Supernatural” stars Je

Her son becomes a zombie, and she desperately tried to stop the Winchester brothers from investigating him, but when her own son kills her husband, she decides to work with the brothers to get rid of all the zombies in the town.
Meeting famous spouse
Kim Rhodes met her now husband independent film director Travis Hodges when he was working as the key production assistant for “Touched by an Angel’. Hodges says he was immediately taken aback by Kim. When Kim came to be a guest star on the show Travis was in charge of showing her the ropes. ‘It was his job to take care of me, and he’s still doing it brilliantly!’ said Kim.

When the couple decided to marry in 2006, they asked Blush Bridal to help them plan their wedding in Portland, the brides home town, wanting their wedding to be beautiful and elegant but with a definite note of fun. “The marriage is for us; the wedding was for everybody!” Kim said. They wanted small amounts of celadon and yellow with just a touch of burgundy, staying away from bright colours the couple focused their attention on the texture and mood, and wanted everything from the décor to attire to be understated. Kim and Travis now live in Los Angeles, together with their dog Linus and their daughter Tabitha Jane, who was born in May of 2008.
