Early life, parents and education
Lyliana is being raised in Los Angeles alongside her older brother by their parents, who are both part of the entertainment industry – their mother is a theatre actress while their father has appeared in only a couple of plays, as he isn’t as talented as Lyliana and her mother.
Lyliana became interested in acting even before enrolling at an elementary school, as her parents often took her to watch plays at a local theatre.
As soon as she started attending elementary school, Lyliana joined its drama club and began appearing in plays, and after she was noticed by a scout searching for new talent, Lyliana was invited to make her debut film appearance in 2015 at the age of 10, when she portrayed Savannah Knowles in the thriller movie “Girl Missing” – it starred Kiersten Warren, Francesca Eastwood and Frederico Dordei, and the story follows a girl who was abandoned by her mother after she was born, and who has now contacted her claiming to be a millionaire.
Lyliana’s parents have allowed her to work on her acting career, but to continue studying so that she might one day enroll at a college. Lyliana has begun attending a local high school in 2019, and is hoping to start attending college after she matriculates in 2023.
Career as an actress
Lyliana played her first lead role in 2016, when she was cast to appear as Violet in the short fantasy movie “Albedo Absolute”, written by William Brookfield and directed by Vlad Marsavin – the movie also starred Boti Bliss, Hannah McCloud and Gabriel Olds, and it follows two curious girls who have embarked on a journey from which they won’t be returning.
The short film became a hit in the US, and won five awards and was nominated for six others.
The year 2017 saw her guest star as Naya in the episode “Family Matters” of the romantic series “The Night Shift”, which starred Eoin Macken, Jill Flint and Brendan Fehr, and follows several Army doctors who come to work the third shift in a San Antonio hospital. In 2018, Lyliana portrayed Riley in the episode “North Star” of the comedy series “Black-ish”, which has been airing since 2013, and has become a huge hit in the US as it has won 61 awards including a Golden Globe for Tracee Ellis Ross for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy, and has been nominated for 173 other awards.
Also in 2018, Lyliana guest starred as Young Susan in three episodes of the mystery series “Strange Angel”, and her latest appearance has been in the 2019 family fantasy mini-series “Are You Afraid of the Dark”, in which she portrayed the lead character Rachel Carpenter – the series also starred Sam Ashe Arnold and Miya Cech, and is about the Midnight Society in which members tell scare stories while things change when the horrible events from the stories start happening in their town.
Lyliana has recently been cast to appear in the upcoming action movie “Top Gun: Maverick” set to be released on 2 July 2021, and will star Tom Cruise, Jennifer Connelly and Val Kilmer.
Friends, love life and boyfriend
Lyliana is a highly social girl who likes to meet people, and usually gets along easily with the famous actors and actresses she is appearing alongside in her movies and TV series, however, she still prefers to spend her free time with her two best girlfriends – Lyliana has numerous female friends, plus two close male friends.
There are rumors circulating the internet that she might be in a relationship with a boy who can be seen featured in some of the pictures Lyliana has uploaded onto her Instagram account, but many of her fans have stated how the two are only close friends as she is still too young to be dating – according to the rumors, Lyliana and the boy are the same age, and met at high school.
As she hasn’t commented on the rumors regarding her love life, Lyliana is single as of August 2020, she certainly hasn’t married, and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Her favorite season is summer, as she likes feeling the sun on her face, and she is also keen on swimming in the ocean as well as in rivers. Lyliana is physically very active, as she plays soccer and tennis at school and also does yoga, as well as meditating together with her friends.
