Matt Baker (born 23 December 1977) is a British TV presenter by profession. He is famous for co-presenting the children’s television show “Blue Peter” from 1999 until 2006, BBC One’s “Countryfile” since 2009, and “The One Show” from 2011 to 2020, with Alex Jones. His last show on “The One Show” was on 31st March 2020 (Tuesday). What’s more, Matt won the title Best Children’s Presenter in BAFTAs for two consecutive years during his seven years with “Blue Peter”. Furthermore, was also the commentator for the gymnastics events for the BBC’s coverage of the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. He participated in 2010 Strictly Come Dancing partnering with ballroom dancer, Aliona Vilani winning second place. As an actor, he played himself in an episode of the BBC Drama series “Cutting It” in 2002 and briefly appeared as himself in an episode of sci-fi series “Doctor Who”  in 2005. In addition to this, he has guest appeared in A Song for Europe (2003), The Wright Stuff (2007, 2008), Richard & Judy (2007), The Paul O’Grady Show (2009), Pointless Celebrities (2011), Top Gear (2018), Strictly The Best (2018), Blue Peter 60th Anniversary (2018) and more.
