Childhood and education
Jeremy was raised alongside his siblings in Seattle, by their father who was a theatre actor, and their mother who was a nurse at a local hospital.
Jeremy started watching movies with his family at a very early age, and soon knew how to differentiate good movies from the bad. He attended a local high school, at which he was physically active as he played basketball, while he was also interested in video games, mostly playing them on his computer. He continued to watch movies on a daily basis, sometimes two or three per day, and upon matriculation in 1999 didn’t to enroll at college, but focused on a career.
Jeremy’s father helped him win a job at a movie theatre, and he worked as a projectionist for several years before being able to financially support himself solely with the money he was making on YouTube – it wasn’t until he watched the movie “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and hated it, that he started reviewing movies on the site.
Jeremy launched his YouTube channel on 7 March 2007, and it’s today subscribed to by more than 1.7 million people, making Jeremy the #1 movie reviewer on the site – his channel also counts nearly 700 million views of all his videos combined, while a part of his ‘description’ section reads ‘A show of movie reviews and comedy.

Jeremy is quite a secretive man who prefers to keep his personal matters to himself, so his girlfriend Elizabeth Autry isn’t usually seen in his YouTube videos – Elizabeth studied fitness and nutrition at a college, and is today working at Skywarn as a storm spotter team officer, while she is quite active on social media networks, especially on Twitter.
The two were introduced by a mutual friend in 2018, and started dating a few days later.
Some of Jeremy’s fans have recently claimed that the two might have become engaged or even married, but this hasn’t been confirmed by Jeremy, who avoids talking about his love life.
He hasn’t mentioned any other girls he might have been with before meeting Elizabeth, so as of November 2020, he is in a relationship, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Jeremy likes to work out, and has several sessions at the gym each week, while he’s uploaded several post-workout pictures onto his Instagram account. He is also following a somewhat strict diet, so doesn’t eat fast food nor anything with a lot of sugar in it.
