Who is Danielle Nicolet?

American actress Danielle Nicolet was actually born Danielle Diggs in Ashtabula, Ohio USA, on 24 November 1973, meaning that her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. She’s had roles in close to 80 movies and TV series, but is perhaps known best for playing Cecile Horton, one of the lead characters in the critically acclaimed action adventure series “The Flash”. It also starred Candice Patton and Grant Gustin, was created by Greg Berlanti and Geoff Johns, and follows Barry Allen who’s been struck by lightning and is now superfast; the series has been airing since 2014, and has won 29 of its 125 award nominations.

Education and early life

Danielle was raised in Ashtabula alongside her brother Rick, by their mother Patricia Rose and father Richard Diggs; Danielle’s family prefers to stay away from media, which is why not many details have been disclosed about them.

She became interested in acting while attending a local high school; Danielle was a member of its drama club and starred in a number of school plays, while she was also into dancing and playing sports. She was 17 when she made her debut TV series appearance, playing Vonda Mahoney in the 1991 episode “The Love God” of the adventure comedy “Family Matters”, and she’s since been active in the film industry.

Danielle matriculated in 1992 and then didn’t enroll at college.

Roles in TV series

In 1992, Danielle played Verla in both episodes of the biographical musical “The Jacksons: An American Dream”, and from 1996 through 2001, she portrayed Caryn in 42 episodes of the critically acclaimed family science fiction comedy “3rd Rock from the Sun”, which starred Jane Curtin and John Lithgow, and was created by Terry and Bonnie Turner. It follows a group of aliens as they’re learning about life on Earth, and the series won 36 of its 110 award nominations.

The first half of the 2000s saw Danielle appear in an episode of several series, such as the action adventure “Stargate SG-1”, the drama “For the People” and the comedy Half & Half”. In 2007, she played Nurse Mary Singletary in the drama “Heartland”, created by David Hollander, and which starred Treat Williams, Kari Matchett and Chris William Martin; it follows the life of heart surgeon Nathaniel Grant. The remainder of the decade saw Danielle star in the comedy “The Starter Wife”, and play supporting characters in the crime mystery “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and the comedy “Brothers”.

In 2015 and 2016, she starred as Jenna in all the 22 episodes of the comedy “Born Again Virgin”, created by Ranada Shepard, and which also starred Meagan Holder and Eva Marcille; the series follows 34 years old Jenna who’s a blogger.

Besides “The Flash”, Danielle’s three most recent TV series roles have been in the 2016 episode “Back to School” of the comedy “Real Husbands of Hollywood”, seven episodes of the 2016 animated musical adventure “Da Jamies” (voice role), and the 2017 episode “Crisis on Earth-X, Part 1” of the action adventure “Supergirl”.

Roles in movies

Danielle’s debut film role was playing Debbie Luger in the popular 1993 action crime comedy “Loaded Weapon 1”, which starred Samuel L. Jackson and Emilio Estevez, and was written and directed by Gene Quintano. It follows two police officers as they’re working on a drug case in Los Angeles, California. Some of Danielle’s notable performances in the remainder of the ‘90s were in 1996 in the mystery thriller “Where Truth Lies” and the drama “The Prince”, and the 1998 drama “Race”.

The year 2004 saw her portray Jeanie in the romantic crime drama “A Wonderful Night in Split”, written and directed by Arsen A. Ostojic, and which starred Dino Dvornik, Mladen Vulic and Coolio; the film tells three stories taking part in Split, Croatia and won 16 of its 29 award nominations. Danielle was then cast to appear in the 2006 science fiction horror “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”, the 2007 comedy “The Weekend” and the 2009 romantic comedy “Alpha Males Experiment”.

She portrayed Maggie in the hit 2016 action crime comedy “Central Intelligence”, which starred Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson, and was directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber. It follows an accountant who’s been lured into international espionage, and the movie won two of its 10 award nominations.

Some of Danielle’s most recent film roles have been in the 2018 romantic horror “Acrimony”, the 2020 comedy “Faith Based” and the 2022 short drama “In Training”.

Danielle’s voiced characters in various video games, including Shaundi in the 2013 “Saints Row IV”, The Local Population in the 2013 “Grand Theft Auto V”, and Captain Marvel in the 2016 “Lego Marvel’s Avengers”.

She wrote and produced the 2022 short comedy movie “Black Karen”.

The two don’t have children together, and while many people believe this to be because both Danielle and Mike are focused on their careers, some claim that perhaps one of them is infertile; this hasn’t been addressed by Danielle.

She’s yet to speak of other men whom she’s dated, Danielle’s married to Mike Kussman as of May 2023, and doesn’t have children.

More than half a million people are following Danielle on Instagram today, and she’s posted nearly 800 pictures and videos; most of these feature her shooting for her movies and TV series, travelling around the US and showing off her clothes.

She’s physically highly active and works out at the gym nearly every day; Danielle was passionate about gymnastics during her teenage years. She likes to watch sports in her spare time, and is a fan of National Football League (NFL) and National Basketball Association (NBA).

Danielle’s a fan of the late American screenwriter, producer and director Billy Wilder, and some of her favorite movies include “Sabrina”, “Some Like It Hot” and “The Apartment”, all written by Billy.
