Who is Yasmine Bleeth?
American actress and model Yasmine Amanda Bleeth was born in New York City, USA, on 14 June 1968, making Gemini her zodiac sign. She appeared in 30 TV series and movies prior to retiring from acting in 2003, but has recently returned to the film industry, portraying Lola in the 2021 comedy film “Whack the Don”; Yasmine’s currently shooting for three upcoming movies: “Beautiful Evil”, “Kill with Me” and “Air Force Z”.
She’s probably still known best for starring as Jenna Reed in the 1998 sports comedy “BASEketball”, which David Zucker wrote and directed, and which also starred Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Dian Bachar. Education and early life
Yasmine was raised in New York City alongside her siblings Miles and Tristan, by their father of Russian-Jewish descent Philip Bleeth, who was a business proprietor, and mother of French descent Carina, who was a model.
Yasmine was thrown into the film industry when she was 10 months old, as she was cast to star in a baby shampoo TV commercial, and was six when she appeared in the hidden camera reality show “Candid Camera”.
She was 15 when she made her debut film appearance, portraying the lead character Theresa O’Brian in the 1983 drama “Baba!”, which follows the life of a rebellious orphan from New York City.
She studied at a local high school in Los Angeles, California as she’d moved there because of her acting career; Yasmine matriculated in 1986 and then continued to act, rather than to pursue a college degree. Her mother died from inflammatory breast cancer in 1990, and this led Yasmine to reject numerous acting offers for eight months.

Yasmine’s debut TV series role was starring as Ryan Fenelli Hyde in 97 episodes (1985-1989) of the romantic drama “Ryan’s Hope”, which Paul Avila Mayer and Claire Labine created, and which starred Nancy Addison, Bernard Barrow and Helen Gallagher. It follows the members of an Irish-American family living in New York City, the series aired its 3,500 episodes from 1975 through 1989 and won 29 of its 76 award nominations.
From 1991 through 1993, Yasmine played LeeAnn Demerest in 13 episodes of the soap opera “One Life to Live”, and was then cast to appear in an episode of the comedy “Herman’s Head”, the family comedy “Boy Meets World”, and the crime action “Baywatch Nights”.
She became famous after being cast to star as Caroline Holden in the popular action crime adventure “Baywatch” (1993-1997), which Gregory J. Bonann and Michael Berk created, and which also starred David Hasselhoff and. The series follows the lives of several lifeguards working at a beach in Los Angeles, it aired from 1989 through 2001, and won five of its 19 award nominations.

Yasmine had only three TV series roles prior to retiring from acting, portraying Caitlin Cross in 41 episodes of the crime action “Nash Bridges” from 1998 through 2000, Heather Lane Williams in 14 episodes of the 2021 romantic drama “Titans”, and Kristen Grayson in the 2002 episode “Miss Con-Jeannie-Ality” in the action crime comedy “V. I. P.”
Roles in movies
The year 1994 saw Yasmine play Coral Wilson in the action horror thriller “The Force”, while the following year saw her portray Caroline Holden in the action “Baywatch: Forbidden Paradise”.
In 1996, she played the main character Emily Gilmore in the drama “A Face to Die For”, directed by Jack Bender, and which also starred James Wilder and Richard Beymer. It follows a woman who was tricked into helping rob her employer, and is now, after having served time in prison, determined to have her revenge on those who had wronged her.
Yasmine could then have been seen appearing in the 1996 drama “Talk to Me”, the 1997 crime mystery comedy “Crowned and Dangerous” and the 1998 science fiction mystery thriller “The Lake”.
Her final film role was playing Caroline in the 2003 action adventure “Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding”, directed by Douglas Schwartz, and which starred Michael Bergin, Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff. It follows several lifeguards as they’re attending their colleague Mitch’s wedding in Hawaii.

Drug addiction and rehab
Yasmine voluntarily entered the rehab clinic Promises in Malibu, California in December 2000, because of her cocaine addiction.
She was arrested on 12 September 2001, after she drove her car off the highway, and the police found cocaine and four syringes in her possession, and more cocaine and drug paraphernalia in her hotel room – she pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine in November 2001, and Yasmine was put on two years probation and ordered to do 100 hours of community service.
She then entered the clinic Promises again, and after having fulfilled the terms of her probation in January 2004, Yasmine chose to retire from acting, believing this to be another step in staying away from drugs; it remains unknown what she did for a living prior to returning to acting in 2021.
Love life and relationships
Yasmine rarely speaks about her love life in public, but has still allowed her fans to take a glimpse into it. She met business owner Paul Cerrito in December 2000, when they both entered the rehab facility Promises; Yasmine was advised not to start a relationship during her first year of rehab, especially not with another drug addict, but the two fell in love and married on 25 August 2002; they’ve since been living together in Los Angeles.
Yasmine and Paul don’t have children together, and while most of Yasmine’s fans believe this to be because they want to focus on themselves, rather than on raising children, there are also those who believe that perhaps one of the two is infertile; neither Yasmine nor Paul have addressed the rumors.
She hasn’t mentioned the men whom she had dated prior to meeting Paul, Yasmine’s married to Paul Cerrito as of April 2023, and they don’t have children.

Yasmine’s been a philanthropist since the launch of her acting career; she was a spokesperson for the 1998 Lee National Denim Day, which raised $5 million for the Susan G Komen for the Cure; she also donated the $10,000 she won on the game-show “Celebrity Jeopardy!” to breast cancer research.
The magazine “People” featured Yasmin on their 1995 list ’50 Most Beautiful People’, while the magazine ‘FHM’ featured her on their list ‘100 Sexiest Women in the World’ every year from 1996 through 2001.
