Who is Lucas Black?

American actor Lucas York Black was born in Decatur, Alabama USA, on 29 November 1982, making Sagittarius his zodiac sign. He’s had roles in 28 TV series and movies, but is perhaps still known best for playing Frank Wheatley in the 1996 drama movie “Sling Blade”, which Billy Bob Thornton wrote and directed, as well as starred in alongside Dwight Yoakam and J. T. Walsh. In 2000, he portrayed Jimmy Blevins in the hit romantic western “All the Pretty Horses”, which Billy Bob Thornton directed, and which starred Henry Thomas, Penelope Cruz and Matt Damon. Lucas is physically highly active, as he often plays various sports with his friends, while his favorites are golf, basketball and football.

He was offered a role in the critically acclaimed 1998 romantic western movie “The Horse Whisperer”, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Music, Original Song; Lucas turned the offer down because the producers had asked him to change his accent.
