Kennya was raised as a single child in Brazil by her father, Eumir Deodato, who is a famous Brazilian composer and a pianist, who won a Grammy Award for his achievements in music. Kennya’s mother was a housewife, but her parents divorced in 2001 and after both Kennya and her husband became born-again Christians, they forbid Eumir to come to their house with his new girlfriend.

Motivated by her father’s career, Kennya wanted to become a singer and enrolled at a local music school, but soon learned she wasn’t talented enough to pursue a career in music. She studied at York Preparatory School and after matriculation in 1986 enrolled at Parsons School of Design graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1989.
Career as an artist
Kennya has been working as a graphics designer and an artist since she graduated from college, for a variety of companies, and after she began dating Stephen, he helped her find even more work as many of his friends in Hollywood were looking for someone with her skills.

Love life and marriage with Stephen
Kennya met Stephen in 1987 when they were introduced by a mutual friend while riding the subway, and after three years of being together, they married in a small ceremony attended by their closest friends and family. Kennya gave birth to their first daughter Alaia on 24 January 1993, while their second child Hailey followed on 22 November 1996 – both girls have become models. He is an actor, film producer and author, probably still best known for having starred in the western series “The Young Riders” from 1989 to 1992 which also starred Josh Brolin and Ty Miller and which is about several riders of the Pony Express. The series won six awards, including two Primetime Emmys, and was nominated for five others.
Stephen was raised in Massapequa alongside his two sisters, Jane Sasso and Elizabeth Keuchler, and three older brothers Alec, Daniel and William, all three of whom have become famous actors.
