Nicole Shanahan is an entrepreneur, attorney, patent professional, media face, celebrity spouse, and the founder and CEO of an integrated patent management platform “ClearAccessIP” from the USA. She is known for her marriage-turned-divorce with Google co-founder Sergey Brin and for having affair with Elon Musk who is the founder, CEO, and Chief Engineer at SpaceX; angel investor, CEO, and Product Architect of Tesla, Inc.; founder of The Boring Company; and co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI. She established the automated patent management and valuation company ‘ClearAccessIP’ in January 2013 and has been the CEO since then. 2. She had an affair with Elon Musk

They welcomed a baby girl at the end of 2018. On 15th December 2021, Brin and Shanahan split. Brin filed for divorce on January 4, 2022. The cause of their breakup was reportedly an affair Shanahan had with Elon Musk.

4. She is a founder and president of the Bia-Echo Foundation

Nicole is the founder and president of the Bia-Echo Foundation which is a philanthropic foundation that promotes criminal justice reform, fights for a sustainable future and supports research on fertility and reproductive longevity in women in their mid-30s. She has led the foundation to complete projects which include: the launch of the world’s first Center for Reproductive Longevity and Equality at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging and the Stanford Computational Policy Lab to drive social impact on criminal justice reform via data analysis and technical innovation. She spoke about her fertility struggles in an emotional speech at the launch of the Center for Female Reproductive Longevity and Equality in 2019. “Like many women who are not quite ready to start a family in their early 30s, I decided, or so I thought at the time, to take matters into my own hands and freeze embryos,” she said. “However, after three failed attempts at embryo-making and three dozen visits to in vitro fertilization clinics around the Bay Area, I learned that I was not nearly as unshakable as I thought I was.”

The daughter of a Chinese immigrant mother and a father who struggled with mental health issues, Shanahan told the publication that she “had to figure out how the world works on my own.” “I had two unemployed parents for the majority of my childhood, so not only was there no money, there was almost no parental guidance, and as you can imagine with a mentally ill father, there was lots of chaos and fear,” she said. She attended the ‘National University of Singapore’ to study global IP trade and Chinese law. Also, she has a Juris Doctor degree in high-technology law, intellectual property, and litigation from ‘Santa Clara University School of Law,’ where she was an associate and journal editor on a computer and high technology law.
