Gigi was raised in California alongside her brother Nikko Santo Pietro who is three years her senior, born on 2 July 1994, by their mother and their father George Santo Pietro, who is the owner of his own restaurant.

Gigi became interested in acting at a very early age, as she spent most of her time with her mother who often took her to the sets of her movies. She become physically active while attending high school, as she began playing soccer and doing gymnastics, then during her sophomore year Gigi became interested in photography, and received her first camera from her mother. Upon matriculation in 2015, she enrolled at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Art’s degree in photography in 2019.

Gigi made her debut show appearance in 2010, when she was cast to appear in the episode “Beaches Resorts Week 4” of the family game show “Wheel of Fortune”, which was hosted by her mother – her second and latest appearance has been in a 2020 episode of “CBS News Sunday Morning”.
Gigi is also active on Instagram, and her account is followed by close to 1,000 people while she mostly uploads pictures which she has taken during her everyday life.

She was raised an only child by her mother Joan Marie Nicholas, and her stepfather Herbert White Jr. as her mother divorced her father Miguel Angel Rosich not long after Vanna was born.
Vanna attended a local high school at which she became interested in acting as well as modelling, and upon matriculation in 1975 started attending The Atlanta School of Fashion and Design, while simultaneously working as a model. However, she returned home in 1980 to visit her mother, who was at that time fighting ovarian cancer.
Vanna attracted attention for the first time in 1978, when competing in the Miss Georgia USA pageant. On 20 June 1980, she appeared in her first game show, “The Price Is Right” as a contestant. In 1981, she appeared in the science fiction horror film “Looker”, as well as in another horror movie “Graduation Day”.
