Actress Carmela Zumbado is a young, pretty and talented woman, born on 27 February 1991 under the zodiac sign of Pisces. The Miami native has been involved in the film industry since 2011, and during that time she has garnered over 20 acting credits.

Her big break came with the role of Ximena Arista in “The Wall Of Mexico”, a comedy-drama directed by Zachary Cotler and Magdalena Zyzak. Marisela is known for her roles in “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back”, “The Affair”, and “Countdown”, while Gigi reached fame for starring in “Criminal Minds”, “A Night To Regret”, and “9-1-1”. Carmela’s father is renowned journalist and news photographer Tony Zumbado. Her family emigrated from Cuba to the United Stated during the 1960s.

Carmela’s life completely changed in 2011, when she made her debut film appearance landing a small role of a jogger zombie in the short film “Play Dead”, directed by Andres and Diego Meza-Valdes. Two years later, she collaborated with famous director Seth Gordon on his comedy “Identity Thief”.

In 2014, Carmela won her first major role when she played Jeny ‘B’ in Scott Waugh’s sports action thriller “Need For Speed”, next to “Breaking Bad” star Aaron Paul. The film was a box office success grossing over $200 million. She then appeared in the cameo role of a female American reporter in the comedy-drama film “Our Brand Is Crisis” (2015), based on the documentary film of the same name from 2005. In 2017, she featured as Daphne in the short comedy-drama film “Hot Seat”, written and directed by Anna Kerrigan.

Apart from her work on the big screen, Carmela Zumbado has also pursued her professional acting career on television. According to the IMDb profile, Carmela made her television debut in “America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back”. She firstly appeared as Teresa Martinez in the episode “La Tia”, and then as Karen in the episode “Sex Trafficking Special 2”, both in 2012. She also guest-starred in a number of TV series, such as “Graceland”, “Bloodline”, and “NCIS: Los Angeles”, among many others.

In 2016, she made a guest-starring appearance as Denise Martinez in the episode “I’m Going To The Beach With Josh And His Friends!” of The CW’s romantic musical comedy-drama series “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”.

She reprised the role in one more episode of the series in 2019. Most recently, Carmela guest-starred as Paloma Ball in the episode “The Balls” of the fantasy series “The Magician”, broadcast on the Syfy network in 2020.

Furthermore, Carmela became active on stage back in 2012, when she collaborated with Broadway star Lin-Manuel Miranda on his hip hop improve show, entitled “Freestyle Love Supreme”. The show is currently performed on Broadway.
