Early life and Education

Hallie Kate Eisenberg was born on 2 August 1992, in East Brunswick, New Jersey USA, to parents Barry and Amy Eisenberg in a secular Jewish family.

Her father ran a local hospital before becoming a college professor, and her mother was a professional clown, who for more than 20 years performed at birthday parties for kids. Eisenberg has two older siblings, brother Jesse Eisenberg and sister Kerry Eisenberg. She got her name after Thora Birch’s character from the film “All I Want for Christmas”, Hallie O’Fallon.

Eisenberg went to a local high school, and after matriculating enrolled at the American University in Washington, D.C., but took a break from her studies to pursue an acting career.

Pepsi Girl

Eisenberg’s first notable TV appearance was in a series of commercials for the famous carbonated soft drink brand, Pepsi, becoming the face of Pepsi when she was just seven years old – in fact, throughout her career she was known as ‘The Pepsi Girl’. She could be seen on the TV from the late 1990s to the early 2000s.

Career

Eisenberg made her acting debut in 1998 when she was just six years old, cast as Marie Alweather in the family comedy film “Paulie”. That same year she portrayed the daughter of Jamie Lee Curtis and Alan Bates’ characters in the TV movie “Nicholas Gift”.

Eisenberg appeared regularly on TV and films over the next few years, portraying Grace Rothman in an episode of the TV series “Presidio Med”, co-starring in the comedy TV film “The Goodbye Girl”, alongside Jeff Daniels and Patricia Heaton, and appearing in “Jesus, Mary, and Joey”, the comedy-romance film directed by James Quattrochi.

In 2006, she co-starred in the family comedy film about the life of typical kids in middle school, “How to Eat Fried Worms”, which was an adaptation of Thomas Rockwell’s book of the same name – she jointly won the Young Artist Award in the category Best Young Ensemble in 2007 for her contribution to this film.

In 2008, she made a small appearance in “Heaven’s Messenger”, the drama film about a doctor who is trying to find out who his unnamed patient with multiple personalities truly is. The same year she made a guest appearance in “Wild Child”, in which she portrayed Ruthie.

Eisenberg’s last feature film appearance was in 2010, when she acted alongside her brother Jesse in the biographical film “Holy Rollers”, which showed the life of a young man from an Orthodox Jewish family who became an Ecstasy dealer.

Personal Life

Eisenberg’s older brother, Jessie, is a famous Hollywood actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, in David Fincher’s biographical movie “The Social Network” from 2010. He’s acted in many popular high-grossing films, such as “Now You See Me” and its sequel “Now You See Me 2”, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “To Rome with Love”. Unlike her older brother, Eisenberg retired from acting in 2010, so that she could complete her college education and focus on other business goals.

As she retired from acting when she was still a teenager, not much is known about Eisenberg’s private life. She is rarely seen in public, and her brother rarely talks about her to respect her privacy.

Eisenberg is active on a few social media platforms, such as Twitter and Instagram.
