He was raised alongside his siblings in Austin, by his father who was a truck driver, and his mother who worked at a local pharmacy.
Chilled Chaos became interested in playing video games upon enrolling at a local high school, as he then got his first Xbox console, and with it the video game “Halo 2”. He started playing under the username ‘Chilled Chaos’ which has to this day remained his name on the internet. Chilled Chaos was also interested in sports, and played soccer and basketball at school, but most of his free time was spent on playing video games. Upon matriculating in 2009 he enrolled at Hofstra University, from which he graduated with a Business degree in 2013.
Career as a YouTuber
Chilled Chaos launched his YouTube channel on 20 October 2008, and today it’s subscribed to by over 1.4 million people, and counts more than 900 million views of all his videos combined. Nearly all of his videos are related to video games – his two most popular ones are “Little Big Planet: JEFF THE KILLER (The Derp Crew)” as it has been watched over three million times since 25 August 2013, and “ChilledChaos Tortures Seananners (Greatest Slenderman Video Ever – Dual Facecam)” which has been viewed more than 2.8 million times since 18 August 2013.
He launched his second channel “ChilledChaosGame” on 27 October 2015 and it’s subscribed to by more than 300,000 people, and counts over 51 million views of all his videos combined – most of the videos uploaded onto this channel are from his Twitch livestreams.

He was a member of the Machinima.com group The Creatures, after his Machinima “Halo Final Fantasy” became somewhat of a hit on the internet, however, he eventually decided not to be a Creature, because he believed that the entire group shouldn’t be a business, but should be there only for people to have fun. He went on to found several groups including The Bros Angels, The Derp Crew 1 And V2 and ChronoCast, and is today often collaborating on the YouTube series “Let’s Play Family”, created by Roosterteeth.
Love life and girlfriend
Chilled Chaos hasn’t revealed many details regarding his girlfriend Jess.
He first introduced her to his fans on 9 July 2017 on Twitter, and she has since appeared in many of his videos, while many of his fans have claimed to have seen the two walking hand in hand in the streets of Austin, as well as dining together at restaurants. In January 2018, Chilled Chaos announced that he and Jess were engaged and he uploaded a video onto his YouTube channel to explain how and when it happened – the two haven’t married, although there are some who believe that they might have exchanged their vows in secret sometime in early 2020.
