Childhood and education
Gia was raised alongside her siblings in Los Angeles by their father who was a theatre actor, and their mother who worked as a nurse at a local hospital.
Gia and her family often watched her father perform at a local theatre, which is how she became interested in acting at a very early age.
She was a member of her elementary school’s drama club, and appeared in several plays, but it was only after enrolling at a high school and meeting other high school actors and actresses that she realised that she wasn’t talented enough, thus switched her attention to other prospects.
Gia matriculated in 1994, and although she hasn’t talked about her further education, it is believed by some that she enrolled at a college, and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998.
Gia’s career
Gia has been keeping her career away from the media’s attention, but it’s known that she worked with students with special needs at Los Angeles City College in the late ‘90s and the early 2000s.
It is also known that she worked as the art director on the 2006 comedy movie “The Foot Fist Way”, written and directed by Jody Hill and which starred her husband Danny, Ben Best and Mary Jane Bostic. The film follows a Tae Kwon Do instructor with marital problems, and it won Danny an Austin Film Critics Association Breakthrough Artist Award.
Gia has also been credited with working as the art department production assistant in 2009 and 2010, on 13 episodes of the sport comedy series “Eastbound & Down”, which starred her husband, Steve Little and Katy Mixon, and is about a man who comes back to his hometown and starts teaching physical education at the middle school he’d attended – it was nominated for seven awards.

Gia and Danny met in 2002, when they were introduced by a mutual friend at a Super Bowl party. The two started dating, and when Danny decided to move to South Carolina, he asked Gia if she would go with him – they subsequently married in a private ceremony attended by their closest friends and family on 15 October 2010.

He is an actor, writer and a comedian, who might be known best for his starring role in the comedy series “Vice Principals”, which he also created together with Jody Hill. It aired from 2016 to 2018, and follows a father who is trying to become a principal, competing against the school’s vice principal – the series won two awards and was nominated for five others, including a Primetime Emmy.
Danny was raised in Spotsylvania County, Virginia by his mother Kathy Rudy and her second husband, who both worked at the US Marine Corps Base Quantico. He attended Courtland High School, and upon matriculation in 1994 enrolled at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in acting in 1998.
