She attended a local high school at which she became interested in acting, practicing her skills with the school’s drama club and appearing in most plays performed there. She was also interested in singing and modelling, and played tennis and badminton. Upon matriculating in 1999, Khatira decided not to attend college (although some sources claim she graduated) as it was too much money for her and her family, and she thus started working to financially support herself.
Career as an actress
She has decided to keep the details of her career to herself as well, and while it’s known that she has worked various jobs, it is believed that she spent most of her time as a waitress.
She ventured into the film industry in 2009, with her role as Zola in the short action film “Layla” written and directed by Lydia Martinelli, and which starred Marie-Therese Abou-Daoud, Jawad Asephi and Jasmine Bissete – it follows a man and his daughter who start a business together.
