Early life and education

Marc was raised with his older sister Kristen in Girard, Pennsylvania by his father Walter Joseph Blucas who is a sportsman and a school principal, and his mother who is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Marc studied at Girard High School where he played basketball, leading his team to compete in the Pennsylvania Boys AA State Championship. Upon matriculation, he attended Wake Forest University on a basketball scholarship, and played for the university’s Wake Forest Demon Deacons while he was also part of the Sigma Phi Epsilon, a social college fraternity. Marc graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1994, but wasn’t drafted by any National Basketball Association (NBA) teams, so decided to move to England, where he played for Manchester Giants in the British Basketball League. After a year there, he pursued a career as a lawyer before switching to being an actor.

Film roles

He made his debut film appearance in 1996 in the comedy movie “Eddie”, which stars Whoopi Goldberg and Frank Langelia, and follows Edwina who becomes a New York Knicks’ coach. He played the lead role in “Pleasentville” in 1998, and side roles in “The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human” and “House on Haunted Hill” in 1999.

He made a short appearance in the 2001 comedy film “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back”, as well as in “Summer Catch”, while 2002 saw him act in three films = “We Were Soldiers”, “Sunshine State”, and “They”.

He went on to play a side role in the critically acclaimed comedy film “Meet Dave” shot in 2008, as well as in “Deadline”, “Stuntmen”, and “Mother and Child” while his next notable performance was in “Sleeping with Other People” in 2015.

Some of Marc’s latest appearances in movies have been in “The Red Maple Leaf” and “Operation Christmas” released in 2016, and “Brawl in Cell Block 99” which came out in 2017.

Marc was praised for his performance, and was invited to guest star in a single episode of many series such as “House” in 2007, “Lie to Me” in 2009, and “Law & Order: Los Angeles” in 2010, while his next main role came in 2011 when he portrayed Matthew Donnally in “Necessary Roughness”, a TV series which stars Callie Thorne and Scott Cohen, and follows a psychotherapist who finds out her husband is cheating on her.

Marc played recurring characters in two TV series – “Killer Women” in 2014 and “Underground” in 2016 – while his latest role in a TV series has been in the legal drama series “The Fix”, which aired its first episode on 18 March 2019. Besides being an actor, Marc is also teaching basketball at an all-girls high school located in Los Angeles, California.

She is best known for being a daughter of Dayle Haddon , a famous Canadian model and actress.

Hobbies and other interests

Marc has been a fan of comedy since he was a teenager, and dreamed about becoming a stand-up comedian – he occasionally attends live comedy shows today. He likes to travel and has been all around the US to shoot for his TV series and movies, while he has also vacationed in Europe many times, in countries such as Germany and Italy while his dream travel destination is Miami in Florida.
