Thomas Luke Macfarlane was born on 19 January 1980 in London, Ontario. His late father, Thomas, was a director of Student Health Services at the University of Western Ontario. Penny is the name of his mother, a mental health nurse at a London hospital. He has a twin sister named Ruth, and Rebecca, an elder sister.
Luke finished his High School at London Central Secondary School, then studied drama at the famous Juilliard School in New York City.
Career
Luke started his acting career during college as he actively participated in New York theatrical scene. He got the chance to join in the productions like “The Grapes of Wrath”, “The School of Night”, and “Romeo & Juliet”, before graduating in 2003 from the drama division. He then played in “Juvenilla” at the Playwrights Horizons Theater as one of the four leads.

My sexual preference is one irrefutable aspect of me, like the color of my skin. I’ve never been interested in revealing intimate details about my life. The concern with engaging with the media has to do with trying to make sure they will understand this difference.’
Luke’s first known boyfriend was Charlie David, who is an actor, writer, director, and producer. He was also seen together with T.R Knight. The most famous relationship he had was with Wentworth, but they went separate ways afterward. Then he was seen with Chad Slivenski, a wrestler cum actor, but the rumor lasted for a short time.
